Hello, I'm Julie

Having recently experienced redundancy myself, I found myself asking, "What next?" It reminded me just how overwhelming change can feel, even after spending more than 30 years supporting others through some of life's biggest transitions.

That's why I set up Next Steps with Julie – to help women who are feeling stuck after redundancy, a career change or other major life transitions to find clarity and confidence in their next step.

Throughout my career, I've helped people navigate career changes, redundancy, self-employment, retirement and personal challenges. I've seen many women reach a point where they know something needs to change but feel unable to take the first step. It's a feeling I understand very well. I've been immobilised, stuck and unsure where to begin, and I know how difficult that can be.

Often, it's not that we don't want to take action. We simply need the time and space to think things through, explore different possibilities and make sense of what's really going on. Sometimes it's easier to do that with someone who isn't family or a friend — someone who will listen without judgement, expectations or trying to tell you what you should do.

That's where I can help.

Through relaxed one-to-one conversations, I offer a confidential, friendly and non-judgemental space where you can untangle your thoughts, gain clarity and decide what feels right for you. Sometimes the next step is making a big change. Sometimes it's choosing to pause. Either way, the decision is yours.

I won't tell you what to do or offer quick fixes. Instead, I'll ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully and help you find the clarity you need to decide what comes next.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply need someone to listen while you work things through, I'd love to hear from you.
